CENIBRA Institute entered into a partnership with the Public Security Community Council (CONSEP) of Ipaba to implement the Music that Changes Lives Project, whose target audience will be approximately 60 children and teens between 7 and 17 years of age. They will be given classes of musical initiation, singing, guitar, and drums for six months.
These youths will be trained in musical practices with a view to promoting social inclusion, preservation of moral values, valuing their roots and cultural heritage, awareness of socio-educational principles, development of the concepts of rights and duties, solidarity, and psychomotor development enhancement.
Music contributes to the development of skills that people need to become successful in life. Self-discipline, patience, sensitivity, coordination, and the ability to memorize and concentrate are valued through the program.
