CENIBRA is testing electric and hybrid vehicles as part of its decarbonization strategy. The Company is investing in sustainable mobility systems so that commuting and transportation activities meet its environmental, economic, and social requirements.
This initiative is in line with the environmental commitments of its recently launched BioSustainability strategic plan, which also sets out long-term actions related to the social, governance, economic, and innovation aspects.
Electric and hybrid vehicles can provide numerous benefits, including reduced greenhouse gas emissions, improved energy efficiency, lower maintenance expenses, reduced transportation costs per kilometer, and noise mitigation.
In addition to testing electric vehicles, CENIBRA is planning the next steps of its decarbonization journey. A Transportation and Equipment Decarbonization Working Group was created to explore technologies and innovations related to the Company’s transport systems.
One of the models being tested is the Chevrolet Bolt EV, a 100% electric vehicle. It is being evaluated in different applications, such as employee commute and transportation of light and medium loads. The other is a Toyota Corolla Hybrid, which has already been purchased by CENIBRA.
